August 2026 Feature Updates

This August, TSOLife made some enhancements to the platform that are designed to improve functionality of key features and optimize important workflows. We’re excited to share these updates with your communities.

Introducing the Next Generation of Newsletters

Newsletters have received an overhaul to meet your design and content needs while also providing fresh options for making the most of your community’s engagement!

With these stunning upgrades, you’ll have a plethora of templates and styles to build your newsletters from. In fact, with these updates, you’ll potentially have dozens of combinations at your disposal to stylize your newsletters.

This includes:

  • Cover pages with ample space for text, images, headers, and your community’s logo.
  • Standard content pages with shared space for text and images.
  • Gallery pages with more emphasis on images.
  • Back cover pages to conclude things with style.

Additionally, newsletters will now include built-in tools for ensuring that your content will print within its respective boundaries. If your content is running long, a red indicator will display on your screen, serving as a clear visual warning that edits will need to be made:

  • Resident List (UPDATE!): A downloadable CSV option has been added.
  • Resident Contact Info. (NEW!): Downloadable CSV file of the contact information of all of your community’s residents.
  • Photo Release (NEW!): Downloadable CSV file detailing whether your community’s residents have opted in, opted out, or not provided information regarding the use of photographic content.

Corporate Portal Digital Signage (NEW!)

For example, if a corporation wants to send a personalized holiday greeting to everyone within each of their communities, this can be done by clicking the +Add Screen button.

You’ll be guided through a series of prompts to select your screen’s template and style, which will be identical to how signage is created within the community level. What will be different is when you’re ready to assign the screen to a particular community or communities:

From here, you can select:

  • Signage Audience: This could include a specific community, a specific region, or all communities.
  • Device Selection: Engagement Devices or Staff Devices (signage screens that are only available for staff; managed at the community level).
  • Schedule Settings: Date and time for when the screen will run. For example, if this is a screen for Halloween, we may want to start running it on October 28th and pull it on the morning of November 1st.
  • Corporate Attendance Report Updates

The Attendance Report for corporate users has received some feature updates.

Clicking the View Residents button will provide you with a list of the community’s residents and how many events they attended during the selected date range.

Clicking the Download Reports button will provide you with updated options for viewing attendance data:

  • Attendance Data: Attendance report displayed in CSV or PDF formats.
  • Staff Assigned to Events (NEW!): Report that details which staff members were assigned to which events.

Self-Directed Tracking Report (NEW!)

What happens if you’re going for a stroll around the community and notice resident engagement that’s not on the calendar or directly tied to any event? How do you track that?

Well, with this brand-new tool…you can!

Available on the Staff and web apps, you can now log spontaneous engagement activities between residents and can track that information in an effort to continuously improve the community.

For example, if you happen to spot two residents, Bruce and Joan, playing an impromptu game of chess, that’s something that you can track with this new tool.

Here’s how it would look when logging the activity within the Staff App:

And here’s how it would appear while working in your web browser:

A new report has been added to each resident’s profile that details their individual attendance histories.

  • Calendar events can now be scheduled every three weeks in addition to the existing recurrence options.
  • A new flag has been added for corporations to enable communities to mark events as No Attendance.

  • Mobile announcements will no longer feature the date and time to avoid excessive clutter.
